A Quick Bite
It’s not usually whales that we associate with eating humans. We usually leave that to sharks, but this photo has us unsure! The perfectly-timed photo shows a regular-sized diver, right next to the giant, opened mouth of a wild whale. We’re going to guess that his interest wasn’t in eating the diver, but we don’t blame the swimmer for looking a little shaken nonetheless. We’re going to assume this diver got a little too close for the whale’s comfort and learned his lesson quickly.

The Perfect Mistake
This photographer managed to capture the moment when racecar driver Nigel Corner was shot into the air, out of his flipping racecar. You can see the other drivers watching as the horrific event occurred, and Corner’s body is flying, horizontally, through the air. Corner would later admit that he had forgotten to use his seatbelt, but it was a godsend. He remarked that if he had of been strapped in, he probably wouldn’t have survived the crash.
